If you enjoy being involved and connected in the local art scene, we have a volunteer position for you. We are looking for volunteers to serve as Art Gallery Assistants at the Lenexa City Hall Art Gallery. Volunteers will assist city staff and Lenexa Arts Council members with gallery show installations, hanging art, switching out 3D art cases, hanging labels and signs, updating the artist bio book, spiffing up 3D cases and gallery walls, and assisting with hosting receptions. Most of the work is done on scheduled gallery installation and reception dates; however, volunteers also could assist between installation dates at their convenience to ensure that the gallery is looking beautiful. Must be 16 or older. Volunteer coordinator will contact you after you’ve submitted your application to learn more about your interests and availability and to explain the position in more detail.
